Free Standing Lace Halloween Charms

 4” X 4” hoop. This collection consists of 18 Halloween Lace Charms, each approximately 2 inches in height. These are free standing lace designs.  Nine of the charms have a loop so that they may be hung and the other nine do not have the hanging loop.  There are color charts included and image files are also included.

Design Construction:  Hoop a 4” X 4” hoop with two layers of water soluble stabilizer like aqua mesh.  Stitch out the lace design.  When the design is finished stitching, remove the hoop from the machine and remove the design from the hoop.  Trim the aqua mesh stabilizer close to the finished design, Then, dissolve the excess stabilizer by placing the design in a bowl of warm water.  Do not leave the design in the water too long as you just want to dissolve away the visible part of the excess stabilizer.  Some of the stabilizer needs to remain in the design so that when the design dries it will be somewhat stiff.  Once dry, the design may be pressed with a warm iron to flatten it if need be.

Once the lace charms are finished they may be hung or attached as accent pieces to other items.
