Quilted Jacket

|
Quilted garments are everywhere these days! In this 2-part class you will create and construct a QAYG jacket using the Laura Jacket pattern. Please purchase the pattern when you resister for the class. This pattern is multi-sized. You will choose your size, and we will trace and trim that size, preserving the original pattern so when your friends ask you for a jacket, you’ll have the pattern for their size????! Tracing paper (tissue) will be provided. During the first class, we will trace and trim the correct pattern size, prep and cut the batting and lining, discuss strip placement, and start creating the quilted elements. During the second class, we will complete the quilting and discuss finishing the jacket. If we stay focused, there is time to finish the jacket during the 2-session class. Once you have mastered the basics, Margaret will present a variety of design options as well as how to use this technique for other projects. Options are unlimited. NOTE: This is a 2-session class, 5 hours each day. We will not take a break for lunch but feel free to bring something you can eat while we work. Drinks must have lids. |
