Quilt As You Go Sweatshirt Workshop

In this 2-day workshop we will create a unique, quilted jacket based on a simple sweatshirt. This workshop is different from the class offered previously. During the first class, we will learn to deconstruct the sweatshirt and create a pattern that will be used for the final jacket.  Then create a pattern can be altered to make it your own.  Based on the final pattern, you will need to purchase fleece that will be used in the final jacket. We will also discuss options for the strip arrangement on your jacket.  During the second class, we will arrange the strips and reconstruct the jacket.

Supplies you must bring:
(for the first session) A plain sweatshirt (cheap such as from Wal-mart), your GOOD fabric scissors (the one no one else is allowed to touch); pencil; straight pins; small straight ruler; curved ruler (if you have one)

(for second session) roll of 2 ½” strips (jelly roll); fleece(amount will be determined at first session), thread to match fleece or strip set, clips (helpful) or straight pins; good scissors; rotary cutter and small mat (if you have one); marking pen
