Heyde Sewing Recognizing the importance of independent quilt shops to local economies everywhere, Saturday, January 27, 2024, is proclaimed to be Local Quilt Shop Day worldwide. An annual arts celebration focusing on the rich tradition and history of quilting in our communities, Local Quilt Shop Day is an internationally celebrated holiday recognizing the contributions of Local Quilt Shops and their significant economic impact on local communities.

Celebrated on the 4th Saturday in January each year, Local Quilt Shop Day was established by The Fabric Shop Network, a trade association representing over 5,000 local quilt shop owners globally.
