KNOW YOUR SERGER BASICS LESSON FOR NEW OWNERS
Join our instructor and learn basic machine operations for your new Serger. We will discuss the following topics in this class:
Learn the basics of your new serger!
We will discuss the following topics in this New Owners Class:
- Anatomy of a Serger
- How to thread your machine for 4 thread overlock and 3 thread overlock and Rolled Hem
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting
- Using Decorative threads in the loopers & Using thread Cradles
- Serging Tips and Techniques and more
- Serger in good working order with a power cord and foot pedal
- Manual and threading guide (if applicable) all accessories that came with your machine
- At least four spools of serger thread (prefer colored thread, not black or white as these are hard to see when threading)
- Basic Sewing Notions: Sewing scissors, tweezers, extra needles
- several strips of cotton fabric (at least 6" x 4") to practice stitches
- several strips of knit fabric (a variety is good of different types of knits) to practice stitches
- (Fabric samples provided in class)
- Maxi-Lock 4-pack, Multi Brights Serger Thread: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green
- Double Eye Needle
- Fabric Glue Stick
- Dritz Looper Needle Threader

CLASS REGISTRATION PROCEDURES: You can register for classes in the store, on our website or call us 314-843-1168 Most classes have a minimum number of students required to run the class. If we do not meet the minimum number of students, we will notify you that the class is cancelled or rescheduled. If your class is not held for any reason, you may transfer your class fee paid to another class or receive a refund. You may cancel for a full refund up to three (7) days prior to the class.
